Chuck Creigh

Founder

Chuck came to Las Vegas in the late 1950s. He was on his way to Phoenix, but stopped in Las Vegas to work for a short time. He ran heavy equipment in Clark County and worked construction on the side.

He decided to stay in Las Vegas and got his contractor’s license, then opened UTE Construction. He incorporated the company in 1962. Chuck started the company with the goal of doing small residential jobs, which led to doing insurance repairs, with that becoming the primary focus of the company.

UTE did well, and in the 1980s, Chuck expanded the company statewide and into California. UTE opened a division in Reno as Creek Construction, with Chuck residing in Reno for almost a decade. However, the demands of running a larger office brought him back Las Vegas, where he remained in charge until 2002.
